I was looking to make a quick set of inexpensive doors to keep most of the rain and snow out. These ran me about 180.00 per door and took about 6 hours per door to make. Making the hinge was the most difficult part. These doors are made from 1" furniture grade PVC and two sided foam board 6mm thick. I bought the pipe and fittings on line from Formufit and the plastic sheeting locally in scrap pieces for 25.00 a sheet. Each sheet would do a top and bottom half. I heated the pipe to make some of the easy bends and used 90 and 45 degree fittings and 4 T's to make the connector to slide the top half into. Used flat black Krylon and a little JD Yellow. Still waiting on two latches and some Lexan for the windows and vent area. These are far from air tight but will keep most of the rain and snow out which is what I was looking for.
Nets from the factory:
The hinge is made from two pieces of angle iron thru bolted to two gate hinges.
