Hey guys. After spending a few hours installing a new belt along with fuel filter, air filter and that one spark plug that is a B**** to get to. i set off on a ride with a friend to check everything out. it rode like a champ. after 2 hours of 90+ heat we started smelling something and quickly noticed smoke coming from the front hood. we opened it and found the main 40 amp fuse for the stator had once again melted. after talking to Josh and daniel in another thread i decided to start this thread to help anyone needing fuse related issues with the 850i. From what i have seen when replacing the fuse block last time the main power wire is only a 12ga or 10ga wire. it also powers all 4 fuses instead of having 4 different wires. i am thinking that the wire is not big enough and when u add an extra load it overheats the wire and causes the melting issue. also when the fuse block melts it only melts the fuse where the wire connects it does not bother any of the other fuses at all. i will take pics tonight and can check more tonight. hope this will be a big help for other members that have issues also.
