Gator XUV 550 S4

We own a 2012 XUV 550 S4. It was purchased new in spring 2013. The parking brake cable snapped after we had owned it approximately three months. We were driving on mostly flat ground with the occasional trip up or down a hill. Nothing was abused in that three month span. The parking brake was rarely used. We did not park it on uneven ground or in any manner that might be considered dangerous when the cable was operational.

Has anyone else had this same issue?
