610i charging problem

I just finished repairing my no charging problem with my receintly aquired 2007 610i thanks to the advice posted here. It was the two fuse blocks. The fuses were so badly corroded that several of the fuses could not be removed. It appears that the plating on the new contacts has been changed to gold plating. I have several choice opinions of the design engineer of this little item. The fuse blocks are bolted through the front "firewall" in an almost impossible location behind the front left shock. Had they used a couple of lousy studs I would have saved a pound of knuckle meat. Also the location of the fuseblock is almost directly below the drain hole of the storage tray that sets above it so any water or moisture will run through it onto the fuseblock. I will be installing a drain hose on that little item and relocating the fuseblock off the firewall. Plus adding grease to the fuses. When I talked to the dealer about this issue he asked me if the Gator had been used on a dairy farm or hog farm, which it appeareantly had. There seems to an issue with the uric acid in this type of enviornment that goes after the electrical systems. Makes me think what other issues I will be dealing with in the future. Anyway it was cheaper than replacing the voltage regulator or the stator.
