Trail Gator HPX 4x4 electrical problem

Hi,

I'm new to the forum, but not to Gators. I have a 2005-ish 4x4 Trail Gator HPX that has had tender loving care since it was purchased new.

A small but annoying problem has arisen; I have no parking lights on the front when the light switch is in the middle or headlight position.

Rear parking lights work. Front lights work on turn signal activation, or 4 way activation.

Bulbs are 2 filament, but only two wires....they have no ground as they just bayonet into a plastic holder. Both filaments seem to burn together. Both bulbs check out okay.

Fuses check okay, switch checks okay. Switch operates headlights properly. Jumping the switch wiring for the parking lights has no effect on the parking lights; jumping it for the headlights turns them on.

There is voltage across the parking light wire to the 'main' wire on switch, but, again, jumping it does not light the lights. There is a tiny, tiny bit of of current that is measurable at first when one jumps the parking lights to the common; it quickly drops to nothing.

My electrical engineering background from that points me to a bad ground, but I will be damned if I can find a ground point just for the front parking lights.

Everything else works properly....rear box hydraulics, battery charge, headlights, 4 ways, turn signals, accesory 12 vdc, plow lift.

Does anyone have the relevant section of the wiring diagram for the parking lights, or can point me in a direction to solve this dilemma? I've spent quite a bit of time fooling around with it.

Thanks for any help you might have.
